Did you know that coconut oil is antiseptic? Coconut oil has a myriad of different uses that has something to contribute to everyone as it is safe and natural. I am very excited as due to my soapmaking, I have a large tub of organic coconut oil sitting in my pantry!
Coconut oil is so effect at dealing with different health problems because it is anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-oxidant and improves nutrient absorption, as well as being a moisturizing agent. Therefore, with this in mind, it is of no wonder why it would be a great foot cream, antibacterial ointment, and hair conditioner. Additionally, for breasfeeding mothers, a daily dose of coconut oil will enrich and produce more milk for their babies. It is amazing at how it also aids in relieving hot flashes, intestinal infections, and can help in preventing cancer.
I am going to start taking it orally, as well as applying it topically on my skin! I think that maybe I’ll play with it a little bit and add tea tree essential oil to my body cream with a little bit of shea butter. I’ll let you know how it comes out! Knowing about the many uses of coconut oil, as well as other common natural oils and herbs prevents you from spending a lot of money on creams that are not as effective, and sometimes can even be toxic.

Coconut oil is absolutely amazing. I cook with it, I give it to my dog – I love it. It got such a bad rap a while ago because of the saturated fat content, but because it’s only amedium-chain triglyceride, our bodies like to use it for energy and not store it as fat. It’s quite amazing actually – so nice to see a post about it!
I use coconut oil everyday to do oil pulling. I’m glad to see that mentioned in the link.
I saw your etsy store! All of your products look amazing. I admire that you only use natural ingredients!
I know this may be bad but I love to use coconut oil to tan. I’m dark and live in Hawaii. It’s my vice!
Ha! It’s a better alternative to other tanning oils though!
Great post! My best selling product is my before or after shower body oil. The main ingredient is organic coconut oil and I found a wonderful coconut oil product from Earth Balance that I use in cooking instead of butter. I go kookoo for coconuts!
I love to keep me a jar of both refined and unrefined. I use the refined in my hair because it doesn’t clash with the frragrance oils that I use in my hair. Coconut oil is my summertime friend and winter buddy
